Imagine it is time for Spring Break, and you plan to relax on some white sand beach in the Bahamas. Imagine further that while you are catching those rays and drinking that piña colada, you realize that when you get back to work, you will have 50+ messages from alums and students asking about the status of their transcript request. That would spoil the mood.

We have added the ability for you to configure your own 'Out of Office / Holiday Message.' So that you know, only logins assigned to the Client Admin role will have access to this feature. This will generally be your district admin, so please check with them if you need access.
Alums, student, and consumer requests can still be made while you are enjoying the waves and maybe some scuba diving.
Best of all, it's easy!
This feature is only available to administrators and their designees.
First, you select (click on) your name in the upper right-hand corner. Click on "Administration." This will bring up the 'Holiday Messages' screen in a new window.
Select (click) the green plus sign. [Please ignore the QR Codes tab; we will discuss that tab in a future update.]
You must select a start date and an end date. Once configured, this message will display to any consumers that navigate to your ScribOrder site between 12:00 AM on the start date and 11:59 PM on the end date. You don't even have to remember to turn it off. You can also set it for days earlier to give your consumers a heads-up. You can set up your out-of-office / holiday messages for the whole year -- you are in control!
Once the start and end dates are selected, enter your message's 'Title' and 'Body.' You can format the text, insert colors, and let your inner artist out! Isn't that cool?
As you enter your holiday message, the information is saved. You don't need to click on a save button.
If you have set dates and decide they need to change, you must click on the edit button. The edit button looks like a 'pencil' icon. You can find the icon by hovering over the message you would like to edit.
There are two more items to note here. 1) The 'trash can' icon will allow you to delete the message.
2) The 'eye' icon lets you preview your message.
Once you click the 'eye' icon, you are shown what your message will look like to consumers when they navigate your site. Don't worry; they are currently seeing that only if you have configured the dates to be active right now.
When you are ready, you can return to the ScribOrder site by selecting the 'Back to Site' link at the top right of the page.
That is it! You are done! Easy-Peasy Lemon Squeezy!
